Accounts Semi Senior – Newcastle

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £22,000 - £28,000

Numero Recruitment are working with one of the region’s leading Independent practice accounting firms who are looking for an Accounts Semi Senior to join their team in Newcastle. The firm is well renowned for client service and work across a wide range of industry sectors to include:

Manufacturing

The firm like to promote from within and are willing to fully support further study for either the ACA or ACCA exams

The Role:

Assists in the preparation of statutory accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders to review stage.
Assists in the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
Works within budgets set at the planning stage; understands the importance of the budgets and communicates effectively to ensure these are met.
Working with other team members to ensure an efficient and pro-active service is provided to clients.
Ensures the efficient use of appropriate software packages internally and supporting clients’ accounting systems
Drafting tax computations
Preparing VAT returns, while providing a hands-on compliance role.

Requirements:

ACA or ACCA Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
Must have previous experience of working in a practice accounting firm
A good attitude towards client delivery and a desire to progress and become a fully qualified accountant
