Audit Supervisor

Location: Manchester

Salary: £35000 - £40000

Numero Recruitment are working with a large International Top 10 firm of Accountants that are keen to strengthen their Audit team by recruiting an Audit Supervisor into their experienced Manchester team. The firm are currently experiencing considerable growth and have plans to significantly grow the team over the next few years. Clients will vary across a range of sectors and will generally be OMBs, Private Equity clients and smaller entities.

This is a great time to join the team as there will be plenty of opportunity for structured progression over the next few years. The firm will always encourage top performers to pursue internal secondments and International assignments to broaden their skill set.

The Role:

You will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
Agree audit timetables, briefing the audit team (including other specialists)
Monitor budgets and supervise the audit process. This will include planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and project management.
Keep managers and partners up to date with progress throughout the course of the assignment.
Prepare reports for senior management and audit committees.
Act as the key point of contact on-site at client premises
Identify sales opportunities within your client base.

Requirements:

ACA, ACCA or international equivalent. Individuals on track to be exam and time qualified this year will also be considered.
You are required to have ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals both internally and externally.
Drive and resilience and ability to thrive in a pressured environment.
Recent and significant external audit experience is essential including practical experience in an accountancy practice firm.
IT literacy with sound knowledge and experience of Excel/Word.
