Insolvency Director – Channel Islands – Jersey

Location: Jersey - Channel Islands

Numero Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a specialist Restructuring and Insolvency practice in the Channel Islands to seek out high caliber Insolvency and Recovery professionals to assist them in launching a new office in Jersey.

Working closely with the Managing Director based in Guernsey, you will be a key part in the launch and growth of a new office in Jersey.

Ideally the firm would like to recruit someone with experience of taking appointments but will remain open to considering experienced senior professionals that do not hold a license.

The Role:

As a Director you will work closely with the Managing Partner in Guernsey in further building the companies presence across the Channel Islands.
You will take day to day responsibility in the management of corporate recovery, forensic and liquidation assignments, and day-to-day supervision of personnel and client priorities. Initially you will receive administration assistance from a team in Guernsey whilst you develop a team of experienced professionals on island.
The successful candidate will employ appropriate discretion and professionalism in performing his/her duties and will be expected to demonstrate good judgment and foresight in decision making, meeting tight deadlines, and providing effective guidance and managerial support.

Requirements:

Candidates will have a professional accounting or insolvency qualification.
You will have exposure to financial investigative work and insolvency/corporate recovery with an emphasis on offshore assignments.
Working knowledge of the relevant legal framework, exceptional report writing skills and interpersonal characteristics are essential.
A proven track record of establishing and marketing an insolvency / corporate recovery practice would be highly regarded but is not essential.
Experience in the Channel Islands would be preferable but is not a requirement.
