Restructuring Senior Associate – Birmingham

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Excellent Benefits

Numero recruitment have been engaged to speak with restructuring professionals in Birmingham by an International Advisory firm that would like to recruit a Restructuring Senior Associate into their busy Birmingham team.

The successful applicant will be joining a supportive and collaborative work environment that empowers you to excel and you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients including major high street banks, asset based lenders, private equity houses, accountants, solicitors, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors, corporates and individuals.

You will take responsibility of managing a wide range of case types to include:

• Administrations
• Liquidations
• CVAs 
• Project advisory work

• Proactively ensure all cases are kept up to date and adhere to statutory requirements.
• Identify and discuss with the manager issues and obstacles as they arise, suggesting solutions to overcome and progress matters
• Use IPS case management system for all cases, proactively addressing upcoming diary events as appropriate
• Be oraganised and be able to work on multiple assignments effectively at the same time.
• Visit client premises/offices and liaise with client’s employees, agents and solicitors as necessary
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Provide supervision of/delegate work to more junior staff and assist juniors with queries
• Provide guidance, motivation, mentoring and assistance to junior members of the team, assisting them with their training and progression.
• Draft non-standard correspondence and statutory/bank reports
• Draft of information memoranda, liaise with interested parties in respect of sale of business and/or assets

• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word

• Experience of Administrations, Liquidation (CVL and MVL) and CVA processes
• At least 3 years’ insolvency experience
• Commensurate knowledge of Insolvency Act and Rules relating to the above procedures
• Strong academic track record
• Qualified ACA / ACCA or training towards achieving these qualifications
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to work well under pressure, deal with ambiguity and manage conflict/ challenging situations;
• Strong team player with ability to manage team members on specific case tasks to meet deadlines;
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word;
• Experience of using IPS case management software
